13th Brazilian Conference on Software: Practice and Theory (CBSoft)

16th Brazilian Symposium on Software Components, Architectures, and Reuse (SBCARS 2022)

Uberlândia, MG, 03 a 07 de outubro de 2022

=====================
PRESENTATION
=====================

The Brazilian Symposium on Software Components, Architectures, and Reuse (SBCARS) is a symposium promoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) that brings together researchers, students, and practitioners with a wide range of interests on topics related to Software Engineering, including software product lines, component-based software development, software architectures, and software reuse. SBCARS, which started in 2007, is the successor to the series of six editions of the Brazilian Workshop on Component-Based Software Development (WDBC), which started in 2001 so its fifteen editions have contributed to its consolidation in the Brazilian scientific calendar as an important technical-scientific event on software.

=====================
TOPICS OF INTEREST
=====================

We invite authors to contribute with technical papers related (but not limited) to the following themes:

- Agile software architecture and design
- Aspect-oriented software development and software modularity
- Component-based software engineering
- Design patterns
- Domain analysis and engineering
- Generative programming and domain-specific languages
- Mining software repositories
- Model-driven engineering
- Program transformation and refactoring
- Reuse and variability in Open Source Software
- Service-oriented architectures (SOA) and service-based development
- Software analysis, comprehension, and reconstruction
- Software architecture (architecture recovery, architecture description languages, architecture evaluation, reverse architecting, etc.)
- Software evolution
- Software metrics
- Software product lines
- Software reuse (including technical and non-technical issues)
- Variability management

We are also interested in experimental studies (controlled experiments, case studies, systematic reviews), experience reports, theoretical contributions, education-related papers, tools, and methods related to all of the above topics.

=====================
SUBMISSION FORMAT
=====================

Submitted papers can be written in Portuguese or English. When submitting your paper, you must specify the language of your paper with a prefix in the field of the paper title in the submission platform.

All submissions must be in PDF and must comply with the ACM 2-column conference (ACM_SigConf) format. Papers must be no longer than 10 pages, including figures, tables, and references.

SBCARS 2022 will employ a triple-blind review process. The papers submitted must not reveal the authors' identities in any way.
